Children’s vyshyvanka from the collection “Hutsulia.”
The sleeves and chest are embroidered with geometric patterns featuring botanical motifs, which is characteristic of Hutsul embroidery.
The pattern on the shirt originates from the village of Kryvorivnya in the Carpathian region.
The name of the vyshyvanka, “chichka,” is a Hutsul dialect term of endearment for a girl. The visual inspiration for the “Hutsulia” collection came from the photo archive of Paraska Plytka-Horytsvit, which allows you to experience the artist’s creative vision and get a glimpse into the authentic life of the village of Kryvorivnya.
This item features machine embroidery that replicates the “nyzynka” embroidery technique.
