The embroidered shirt for a girl belongs to the “Horodotsky Stitch” capsule, where SVARGA designers combined various techniques of the ancient Horodotsky stitch. To recreate historic ornaments, the exhibits were provided by the Horodotsky Historical and Local History Museum. Among them are embroidered shirts, scarves, tablecloths and napkins, whose creation dates to the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The embroidery on this shirt features a geometric pattern, an infinity symbol, solar and lunar symbols. The sample is rendered in a color palette typical of Gorodotskaya embroidery. The colors are: red (dominates over all colors), white and blue.Manual embroidery techniques “Moon”, “Ladder”, “Vuzhyk” and “Under the Thread” are reproduced with machine embroidery.
