The dressโs pattern is based on an embroidered shirt from the early 20th century from the village of Kalita in the Brovary District of the Kyiv Region. The pattern on the sleeves consists of ribbon-like motifs and a grid of mosaic diamonds in the center featuring pink flowers.
The artifact from which the embroidery was reproduced is housed in the collection of the National Museum of Architecture and Life in Ukraine.
