It fastens with buttons—at the front and on the cuffs. The shirt is adorned with geometric patterns—stars that symbolize order and harmony. The stars are incorporated into diamond shapes—symbols of prosperity and fertility.
The pattern is taken from a vyshyvanka belonging to the family of Oleksandr Zbanduto, specifically his grandfather Vitalii, who lived in Mariupol.
This vyshyvanka is a wedding garment and was captured in a wedding photo taken in 1959 in Mariupol.
