Ceramic Pysanka pendant with Lemko ornamentation. The figurine is handmade, has an elegant shape, and a smooth surface. The Easter pysanka embodies the ideas of rebirth, life, and goodness. How the pendant is made:
The artisan hand-rolls out the clay and cuts out the base;
After shaping, the clay is left under plastic wrap to prevent rapid moisture evaporation. This reduces the risk of cracks and warping;
The first firing takes place (lasts about 8 hours);
The item is washed with water and coated with a clear glaze for everyday use and shine;
Glazed items are fired at 1080°.
