“Ukraїner. The Country from Within 2” is a book based on the second leg of an expedition across Ukraine that took place from 2019 to 2021. It is a sequel to “Ukraїner. The Country from Within,” which became a bestseller at the 9th International “Book Arsenal” Festival. Our team continues to explore Ukraine, and we’re sharing the results with you. This book contains stories of the Ukrainian land, as told by the people and filmed by the Ukraїner team. Traveling through all of Ukraine’s regions just once wasn’t enough to truly get to know the country. So, from 2019 to 2021, we embarked on a second expedition and brought back even more stories about our incredible country and its people. Like all of Ukraїner’s content, these are stories of real people and the places they call home—with authentic dialogue and no staging. As we travel across the country, we strive to capture its essence for every Ukrainian and for the whole world. And with the start of Russia’s war of aggression, this book has taken on another important goal: to show Ukraine as it was before February 24 and to preserve that image in our memory.
