Women’s vyshyvanka from the collection “Chest”.
The pattern is reproduced from an antique shirt originating from the village of Rybotin in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district of Chernihiv Oblast. The original was created in the late 1940s. The pattern features predominantly floral motifs. The underarm slit is trimmed with an embroidered strip.
The pattern was created using machine embroidery that imitates the hand-embroidery technique known as “slad.”
Among the photos, we’ve included an exhibit from the SVARGA Museum, which served as the inspiration for the “Cherry Blossom” shirt.
