Women’s vyshyvanka with “Vyshyvana Ukraine” Collection
The pattern is reproduced from Igor Chmola’s collection of embroidery. Embroidery from the Kherson region is characterized by floral patterns, which began appearing on women’s and men’s shirts as early as the mid-19th century. Symbolic depictions of animals—such as the cuckoo, rooster, horse, and deer—are also common.
It fastens with buttons down the front and at the cuffs.
The pattern is created using machine embroidery that mimics hand-embroidery techniques.
