Women’s linen vyshyvanka.
A shirt with a stand-up collar, buttoned down the front and on the sleeves. The geometric pattern of the vyshyvanka features predominantly botanical motifs: groups of trees. In turn, the tree is considered a symbol of wisdom and the connection between the human and celestial worlds.
The embroidery on the shirt is taken from a 20th-century towel. Geographical origin: Pishchanskyi District (Eastern Podillia).
The source of inspiration for this vyshyvanka: the book “Embroidery of Eastern Podillia” by Yevhen and Tetiana Prychepiy.
