Women’s vyshyvanka from the “Boikivshchyna” capsule collection.
The shirt is embroidered with a geometric, traditional Boyko pattern. The front panels are adorned with a mesh-like composition of diamonds. The openings in the mesh pattern are filled with a finer ornamentation—featuring triangles, broken lines, serrations, and rosettes. The chest and cuffs are embroidered with colorful ribbon-like designs.
The traditional cross-stitch technique used on vyshyvankas has been recreated using machine embroidery. Matching Set — Men’s Embroidered shirt “Viter” The shirt’s embroidery patterns are based on a vyshyvanka from the early 20th century, originating from the village of Holovetsko in the Staryi Sambir District of Lviv Oblast. The artifact from which the embroidery was reproduced is housed in the collection of the “Boikivshchyna” Historical and Ethnographic Museum in Sambir.
