The vyshyvanka’s pattern consists of eight-pointed stars connected by thin “spiderweb” lines, which, according to folk beliefs, are considered a talisman and a symbol of prosperity, peace, and abundance.
The machine embroidery on the shirt replicates the traditional hand-embroidery technique known as “sladdi.”
