Women’s embroidered dress with a belt and pockets.
The pattern originates from an embroidered shirt from the early 20th century from the village of Knyaze-Grigorivka, located in the Kakhovka District of the Kherson Region. The shirt’s main design elements are diamonds, triangles, and leaves.
The artifact from which the embroidery was reproduced is housed in the collection of the National Museum of Architecture and Life in Ukraine.
Date the original vyshyvanka was made: 1912.
The dress in the photo is stylized. with an apron.
The hand-embroidered pattern has been recreated using machine embroidery.
