A floyara is a Ukrainian folk wooden wind instrument, a type of open flute, common in the Hutsul region.
This vyshyvanka is made of 100% linen and ties at the neck. The design features Women’s linen vyshyvanka that ties at the neck. It fastens with buttons at the cuffs. The design is based on original patterns created by embroiderer Hanna Plytka, the mother of artist Paraska Plytka-Horytsvit.
The SVARGA team reimagined the exhibits for the “Hutsulia” collection from an old cottage at the Paraska Plytka-Horytsvit Museum.
This item features machine embroidery that replicates the “nyzynka” embroidery technique.
