This blouse is part of the SVARGA collection “Hutsulia”.
A floyara is a Ukrainian folk wooden wind instrument, a type of open flute, common in the Hutsul region.
The shirt is made of linen. It fastens with buttons. The design is based on original patterns created by embroiderer Hanna Plytka, the mother of artist Paraska Plytka-Horytsvit.
The SVARGA team reimagined the exhibits for the “Hutsulia” collection from an old cottage at the Paraska Plytka-Horytsvit Museum. This item features machine embroidery that replicates the “nyzynka” embroidery technique.
