Men’s embroidered linen shirt. Part of the “Franko’s Embroidered shirt” Collection.
The embroidery on this shirt is a reproduction of one of Ivan Franko’s favorite vyshyvankas. It was given to the writer by the renowned educator and organizer of public education, Khrystyna Alchevska. The original pattern was created using the traditional “white-on-white” technique and originates from the Poltava region.
The vyshyvanka fastens with small buttons. The wide sleeves and chest area are adorned with geometric embroidery.
The pattern is created using machine embroidery that mimics hand-embroidery techniques.
