Men’s vyshyvanka from the “Boikivshchyna” capsule collection.
The shirt is embroidered with a geometric, traditional Boikivsky pattern. The bodice and cuffs are embroidered with colorful ribbon designs. The yoke and shoulder seams are decorated with rows of small triangles.
The traditional hand-stitched cross-stitch technique used on vyshyvankas has been recreated using machine embroidery.
Matching Set — Women’s Embroidered shirt “Viter”
The shirt’s pattern is based on a vyshyvanka from the early 20th century, originating from the village of Holovetsko in the Staryi Sambir District of Lviv Oblast. The artifact from which the embroidery was reproduced is housed in the collection of the “Boikivshchyna” Historical and Ethnographic Museum in Sambir.
