Men’s embroidered linen shirt. Justyna’s vyshyvanka features a shirt pattern originating from the town of Dolyna in the Boikivshchyna region—this exhibit at the “Franko House” museum was donated by Justyna Hrynyshyn, a local resident of the village of Dolyna. The embroidery patterns are adorned with geometric shapes, serrations, projections, triangles, and broken lines, which are known as “karakuli” in this ethnocultural region. Fastens with hidden buttons down the front and on the sleeves. The traditional hand-embroidery technique of “slad” has been recreated using machine embroidery.
