Women’s vyshyvanka from the collection “Embroidered Ukraine.”
The pattern is reproduced from a shirt from the village of Rudivka in the Svatove District of Luhansk Oblast. Date the shirt was embroidered: 1912–1914. Embroidery in the Luhansk region is characterized by a combination of shades of blue and red.
This vyshyvanka is decorated with a floral pattern. The sleeves feature stylized tree branches and cornflowers.
The pattern for recreating the embroidery was provided by the National Museum of Architecture and Life in Ukraine.
