For the first two months after the full-scale invasion began, the SVARGA brand team was actively volunteering, and it seemed that vyshyvankas were out of place at the time—but if we had stopped, we would have lost touch with one another, and the team would have fallen apart. That’s why we created a collection “Embroidered Ukraine”. The clothing is embroidered based on authentic patterns from various regions of our country: Donetsk, Luhansk, Crimea, Lviv, and Kyiv. We wanted to remind everyone once again that east, west, north, and south are merely geographic coordinates, while Ukraine is one big family. We sought to emphasize the unity of Ukrainians by modernizing unique, authentic patterns that embody the history and way of life of many generations across different regions.
Each item in the collection is inspired by the unique history of its region. And now, as the collection expands beyond Ukraine’s borders, we realize that through embroidery, we are showcasing Ukrainian identity on the world stage.
